One of my favorite photos of our oldest when he was a babe. How is this not yesterday... but instead nearly four years ago?! Kingston is such a sweet boy and I absolutely love being his mommy. Especially after what happened last night.
Rarely cranky before bed, Kingston was a little sassy last night when it was around that time. He finally calmed down and was ready for bed... we read a book... I tucked him in... and that was that. But then, a few minutes later, he called for me to come to his room. As I enter his bedroom, he apologized for his behavior earlier, said he loves me, and that he wants to make me proud. All of those words, all on his very own.
Did I mention how much I love this oldest boy of mine!? One of the very sweetest.

#TBT: A Very Happy Thanksgiving.
Don't the holidays just scream posed photographs? This is the best we could do back in November. And I'm pretty sure the hubs got after me for this one. Posed photographs are a no in his book.
Another posed gem. I have to say, though -- love Noni's smile in this one (the hubs's grandma). We definitely captured some happy people. The holiday was celebrated with the hubs's parents, grandma, and a few other family members. Nice and relaxed, how every holiday should be in my book.
And this is what the boys really wanted to do outside... shake the bamboo in the secret garden. I can't remember everything we were thankful for on that day, but I know for sure I was thankful for my little family. I'm thankful for all three of my men each and every day. What a lucky lady I am.

#TBT: Kingston turns FOUR
Instead of hosting Kingston's birthday party at our home, we opted to rent a party room at our local hands on children's museum for his fourth birthday party. It turned out to be a great time - playtime throughout the museum in the beginning, a quick break for cupcakes and presents, then another round of playtime to wrap things up. Plenty to do and something for everyone to be entertained with... even the adults had a good time.
For some reason, Kingston turning four seemed like a bigger deal to me this year than his other birthdays. Maybe it is how much he looked forward to his birthday this year... or the thought of him going to school soon... or the fact that he does not look like a baby any more and has transitioned into such a big boy... whatever it was, something made it feel bigger.
Here are a few facts about our Kingston, now FOUR years old:
- Skylanders are pretty much the best thing ever.... but Ben10 ranks a close second in his book.
- Favorite food: Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches.
- He is 3'9" and weighs approximately 46 lb.
- His favorite song is "Pool Party" by AquaBats; thanks to Yo Gabba Gabba, we have this song on replay in our car...
- He is just starting to ride a bike with training wheels.
- Potty humor is another one of his very favorite things, unfortunately.
- Instead of going to his "work" during the week, he now goes to "school"... or daycare.
- He has to have 3 stories before bed each night.
- Favorite movie: "Despicable Me 3".... or the first one, as most people call it.
- He loves being a big brother to his little brother Cole. This includes hand holding, lots of bossing around, and sometimes calling Cole his "best friend."
I really like Kingston, at four years old.

#TBT: Fall Fun with Leaves
The first one is probably my very favorite. But I also like the one of Kingston standing by the tree looking up as if he is almost the little boy in "The Giving Tree." These photos remind me how much I love Fall. Is it too early to be ready for Fall again?!
