To Noni {heart} Kingston

Kingston colored this portrait of our family for his great grandma Noni.  Kingston is pink, I am purple, Cole is orange, and the hubs is blue.  We are standing on some grass and the sun is out.  I especially love Kingston's heart.  What a sweet boy.

Homemade Valentine's Day Cards

I mean, what grandparent doesn't love a handmade card from their grandchild?  Kingston was pretty pumped to give this arts and crafts project a whirl for his Nana & Papa and Mimi & Papa.  He is certain their Valentine's Day will be that much more special with these cards he (with a little of my help) made for them.

We traced his hands to make the front and backsides of each card.  After I helped cut them out for him, Kingston made sure to color each hand how he thought they would like to see them... in pinks and reds.  Then, we glued a strip of red construction paper in between each hand, completing each card off with a little washi tape to give them a more finished look.

He is pretty proud of how they turned out and I cannot wait to see him hand them off to his grandparents.  One of the reasons why Valentine's Day can be so special right here, friends.

Paper Hearts

This happened today.  And I can already feel all the love and cheer it is spreading throughout our home.  Such an easy way to decorate for the month of February - do you think the hubs would mind if I threw up a few more of these throughout our home?!

DIY Canvas: Baby Handprints

When Kingston was a baby, I came up with the idea to memorialize his cute little hands via black paint and a white canvas.  For some reason or another, I decided seven months old was the perfect age to attempt this project... so with Cole's seventh month coming within a few days, I thought I would go ahead and attempt a handprint canvas with him today.

Cole's handprints are on the left, Kingston's on the right.  It is fun to see the differences in the boys, even when it comes to this simple little project.  Cole's hands look a little bigger, but hard to tell for sure... he was a little more cooperative with the process than Kingston was.

Such fun little keepsakes; neither canvas is perfect, but that is what I love about them.  Oh, and this is a super cheap project to tackle... One tube of black paint and two canvases (which come in a set; Cole's was a leftover that I held on to from when I made Kingston's).  Now, to go find the perfect spot to display them.
